Manchester United's hierarchy is reportedly still undecided on the future of Dutch manager Erik ten Hag, as they explore various options to steer the club back to its winning ways.

Erik ten Hag future

Ten Hag, who has been at the helm for two seasons, led Manchester United to back-to-back trophies. The Red Devils clinched the Carabao Cup in the 2022/23 season and recently triumphed in the FA Cup, defeating Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Despite these successes, the team’s performance in the Premier League has been less than satisfactory. United finished in eighth place, trailing behind clubs like Newcastle United and Chelsea, which means no European football next season—a situation deemed unacceptable by the board.

This has prompted the club’s management, spearheaded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, to contemplate potential replacements for Ten Hag. The search has not been straightforward; Thomas Tuchel, recently departed from Bayern Munich, declined the offer to take charge.

Other names in the mix include Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi, and Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino. The board's aim is to ensure the next managerial appointment propels the club back to the top of English football. Taking no chances, they are meticulously evaluating their options before making a final decision.
