In a thrilling encounter in the second round of the Euro 2024 group stage, Croatia and Albania played to a dramatic 2-2 draw.

Albania struck first, with Kazim Laçi finding the net in the 11th minute. Croatia responded late in the game, as Andrej Kramarić equalized in the 74th minute.

Just two minutes later, Klaus Gjasula gave Croatia the lead, seemingly securing the victory. However, in a twist of fate, Gjasula turned from hero to villain, scoring an own goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time, allowing Albania to draw level.

In doing so, Klaus Gjasula became the first substitute in the history of both the European Championship and the World Cup to score a goal and an own goal in the same match, according to Opta statistics.
