Young Fan Invades Pitch, Snags Selfie with Ronaldo at Euro 2024 Match

A young pitch invader captures a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo.

A young fan made headlines on Saturday by invading the pitch during the Euro 2024 match between Turkey and Portugal to get a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo. 

Clad in a red tracksuit top, the fan emerged from the stands behind the benches midway through the second half of the game in Dortmund. Evading security staff, he made his way to the center circle where Ronaldo was positioned.

In a surprising turn, Ronaldo smiled and posed for the photo before the fan sprinted off, attempting to elude the pursuing stewards. The chase ended with the fan being caught and escorted off the field to applause from the crowd.

At the time of the incident, Portugal was leading 3-0 in their Group F game.
